FAMILY HISTORY OF HEART DISEASE OR CANCER…SEVERE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES…PARALYSIS…NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS…PAST CANCERS…SEVERE MIGRAINES…SEVERE STOMACH ISSUES…these are just a few illnesses that you may have been told prohibit you from getting life / critical illness or other types of insurances.  Ironically, it is the people who have these conditions that are more likely to claim on these types of insurance policies.

Throughout our time in this industry, we have come across several people who have been incorrectly advised by a Financial Adviser “due to your health issues we were unable to get you your insurance policy”.  There is no further explanation given as to why?  This is where The Insurance Helpline is unique – we will always answer the WHY…

Each Insurer has their own ‘underwriting guidelines’ which determine the amount of risk they will take on for each customer.  Therefore, each Insurer could potentially give the same customer a different decision for their insurance policy based on their current health issues (medical disclosures).  This is where the work comes in and at The Insurance Helpline having access to the Whole of the Market for Insurers and knowing our medical illnesses (due to our medical background) and knowing the underwriting guidelines for each insurer we can GET YOU THE INSURANCE POLICY YOU NEED!  If we cannot then we will explain why and in all cases be able to tell you if there is potential for a policy in the future.
